Used Cobra Fly-Z

2015

Fly-Z replaced Bio Cell across the whole Cobra range for 2015, the XL reaching shops in November 2014 and the adjustable models in January. The drivers came as the Fly-Z, the adjustable-weight Fly-Z+ and the draw-biased, oversized Fly-Z XL; the fairways and hybrids used Cobra's Speed Channel face and MyFly8 adjustable hosel; the irons ran from the forged, tungsten-weighted Fly-Z Pro through the game-improvement Fly-Z to the wide-soled Fly-Z XL. The Fly-Z S is a special make-up of the same year, built for package sets and value retailers. The range Rickie Fowler played.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

What are the five Fly-Z builds?

Standard (the core game-improvement club), Plus (lower-spinning, with a sliding FlipZone weight), XL (oversized and draw-biased), Pro (forged irons only, no driver or wood), and S (a cheaper make-up for package sets, without the adjustable hosel).

Is Fly-Z Pro different from the cast Fly-Z iron?

Yes — Pro is forged with tungsten in the toe of the long irons, a compact head with a thin topline; the standard Fly-Z iron is a cast, wide-soled cavity back.

What's Fly-Z S built for?

Package sets and value retailers — the same shapes and Speed Channel face as the regular Fly-Z, but with fixed hosels instead of adjustable ones and lighter stock shafts.
