FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

What separates the M1 from the M2?

The M1 was the adjustable head, with sliding weights to move the bias; the M2 dropped that in favour of a simpler, more forgiving shape. Both ran in 2016 and again in 2017, so check the year as well as the number.

Which M generation moved the needle most?

M3 and M4 in 2018 introduced Twist Face, which changed the face curvature to straighten mis-hits, and M5 and M6 in 2019 added Speed Injection. The 2016 and 2017 heads predate both.

What does the D-Type badge mean?

It is the draw-biased build, with weight moved towards the heel to help the face square up. Worth looking for if you leak shots to the right; skip it if you already draw the ball.

Is an early M1 still worth buying?

The adjustability holds up and the shape still suits a lot of players, but you are buying a face two generations behind the M5 and M6. Judge it on the shaft and the price rather than the badge.
