Used Callaway Steelhead Woods

1998–2016

Steelhead began in 1998 as Callaway's stainless steel answer to titanium: a shallow-faced wood with the weight low and deep enough to get the ball up from anywhere. Three generations of woods followed, and in 2016 the name returned on a full family of irons, fairways and hybrids.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

What loft range did the original Steelhead fairways cover?

2 through 11 wood — an unusually wide range for the era, extended further by Steelhead Plus with strong 3+ and 4+ heads.

What's Variable Face Thickness?

A face milled thinner toward its edges, introduced on Steelhead Plus, so off-centre strikes held their ball speed better than the original.
