1999–2011

TaylorMade's first Rescue arrived in 1999 and has a decent claim to being the first modern hybrid: an iron replacement with a wood's sole, aimed at getting the ball out of trouble. The name stuck so firmly that TaylorMade still calls every hybrid it makes a Rescue, long after this line ended.
