Wood Series

Used Callaway X Woods

1998–2018

The X line was Callaway's volume iron for twenty years, built on the S2H2 hollow hosel that freed weight out of the neck and into the perimeter. Each generation pushed the centre of gravity lower and further back, and most sold in far greater numbers than the tour irons standing beside them.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

What's the X-Sole?

Two raised portions of the sole that stop the leading edge digging and help the face sit square from an awkward lie — introduced on the X 2007 hybrids and brought to the fairway woods in X 2008.

Was there a Tour X fairway wood?

Yes — a deeper 13 and 15 degree head from the X 2008 generation, for better players wanting a lower flight.
