What changed across the SM generations?
SM6 introduced progressive CG matched to each loft; SM8 pushed the CG further forward for stability and feel; SM11 refines grooves and CG across an expanded set of grinds — each generation refined trajectory and spin control rather than reinventing the wedge.
What's the difference between SM3 and SM4?
SM3 is one of the last pre-2010 groove-rule designs, prized for its aggressive spin; SM4 followed the rule change with refined grooves and a wider range of tour-proven grinds.
Does the RAW finish actually rust?
Yes, deliberately — it's untreated so it oxidises with use, which is what gives it more friction and a softer feel than the plated finishes.
What's the difference between Chrome, Nickel and Black?
