OS is the oversized head — thicker sole, more offset, easier to get airborne. Max is the more conventional game-improvement shape. There are four sets in the line across SIM and SIM2.

How much changed between SIM and SIM2 irons?

Less than in the woods. The two generations play similarly, so the earlier set is often the better value of the pair.
