Used TaylorMade R7 Drivers

2004–2025

Launched in 2004 with the R7 Quad, this series introduced Moveable Weight Technology (MWT), allowing players to shift cartridges to cure a slice or hook. Spanning the R7 425, r7 irons/woods, R7 460, and the high-MOI R7 Superquad, the family remains one of the most technologically influential lines in TaylorMade's history.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

Which R7 driver started it all?

The 2004 R7 Quad, the first mainstream driver with movable weight cartridges. Twelve heads carry the badge, running through the 425, 460, Superquad and CGB Max.

Are the weights still usable?

Usually, but cartridges and the wrench go missing after twenty years. Check what is included before buying, since replacements are hard to source.

What does TP mean here?

Tour Preferred — a lower-spinning build with a firmer stock shaft. It suits faster swings and will feel harsh if yours is moderate.
