Used TaylorMade R11

2011–2012

The R11 line turned TaylorMade's metalwoods white: a matte-white crown against a black face, chosen to make alignment easier and the head look larger. The driver added an Adjustable Sole Plate, so face angle could be set independently of the loft sleeve. The 2012 R11S grew the head to 460cc and widened every adjustment.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

Why are R11 clubs white?

TaylorMade made its whole 2011 metalwood line white on top with a black face. The contrast was meant to make alignment easier and the head look larger at address, and the white crown stuck through the R11S and beyond.

How does the R11S differ from the R11?

The 2012 R11S grew the driver from 440cc to the 460cc limit, widened the loft sleeve to 1.5 degrees either way and gave the sole plate five face-angle settings. The fairways kept the same five lofts with a revised hosel.

What does TP stand for?

Tour Preferred. On the R11 and R11S it was the same head with a wider menu of premium shafts, at a higher price new. Buy one for the shaft fitted rather than expecting a different club.

Is there an R11 hybrid?

The hybrid of the period was the Rescue 11, white with a black face to match the R11 woods. Sellers often call it an R11 Rescue, and it sits with the Rescue line.
