Used TaylorMade P790

2017–2025

First launched in 2017, the P790 series is famous for introducing SpeedFoam—a lightweight urethane injected inside a forged hollow body to support a thin face while maintaining excellent feel. With subsequent generations in 2019, 2021, 2023, and 2025, it has set the industry standard for the player's distance iron category.

FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

How much has the P790 changed since 2017?

There are five main releases between 2017 and 2025. Each has reworked the internal foam and the face thickness while keeping the same idea: a hollow body that looks like a players' iron and behaves like a distance one.

What is actually inside the head?

A hollow cavity filled with a light polymer that supports the thin face without deadening it. That construction is why the club sounds and feels unlike a solid cavity-back.

What is the P790 Ti?

A titanium-bodied version from 2019, lighter than the steel build and rarer second-hand. Expect a different feel rather than simply a better one.

What is a P790 UDI?

A driving iron on the same platform, made in 2018, 2019 and 2021. It replaces a long iron or fairway wood off the tee and is not part of a normal set.
