FAQs

The questions buyers ask most about these clubs.

Apex spans a decade of generations — what's the throughline?

Forged feel across every one, from the 1025 carbon steel of Apex 2014 through the AI Smart Face of Apex 2024 — the technology changes each generation, the forged construction doesn't.

What happened with the 2018 Apex?

It reverted to a classic muscleback blade, replacing the previous centralised muscle with a full-width curved back — a deliberate step toward tour players rather than the wider game-improvement audience.

Ai200 or Ai300 — which is more forgiving?

Ai300 — deep, perimeter weighting for maximum forgiveness and effortless distance; Ai200 balances forgiveness with distance for a mid-handicap player rather than maximising either.

Is there a muscleback Apex beside the cavity backs?

Yes — MB is the pure blade for elite players, CB is the cavity back for a touch more forgiveness with a player's look, and DCB goes further still for mid to high handicappers.
