What's the difference between AP1 and AP2?
AP1 is the forgiving, higher-launching game-improvement iron; AP2 is the forged, tour-level player's iron with more feel and less forgiveness — both ran side by side across the same generation years (708 through 718).
What's AP3?
A newer category introduced in 2018 (AP3 718), blending player's iron looks with hollow-blade construction for more distance and forgiveness than AP2 without the size of AP1.
Is AP1 the same head across every generation year?
No — each year (708, 710, 712, 714, 716, 718) reworked the face, cavity and weighting, generally trending toward more forgiveness and ball speed each release.
