The original mid-2000s Studio Style milled its Newport, Newport 1.5, Newport 2, Newport 2.5 and Newport Mid heads from 303 stainless steel and set a German Stainless Steel (GSS) inlay into the face, fixed mechanically with screws and surrounded by a vibration-dampening polymer. The result was a soft, responsive feel and a consistent mid-launch roll prized by serious players.
