Metal injection moulding sinters stainless powder into a near-finished head, which lets the cavity, sole and toe weight be shaped more precisely than a forging; the result is a compact players' cavity with a soft feel and lofts a degree or two weaker than the distance irons. Sold from November 2019 as a 3 iron to gap wedge with KBS $-Taper shafts.
